Well we had a great second day in Las Vegas. Holly woke up at 3am...she was still on the Kan-tuc-kee schedule. So we started the day with breakfast at IHOP (a Fav of Holly's) on the Latino side of of town....we were the only two english speaking people In the place (thanks Garmin)! Turned out well though.
Based on the advise from
our waitress, we decided to go exploring and went to the Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area.
1st stop was at Red Springs, here we found a nature trail that was around a mile long. We encountered two cyotes and one lizard and a nice lady that took a pic of Holly and Myself.
2nd stop a scenic drive through the mountains and canyons of Red Rock (see pics labeled red rock). This two hr road trip was amazing, through out the road course we found scenic pull off's that allowed photo ops, hiking opportunities with trail conditions and possible animal encounter warnings/descriptions....unfortunately we didn't have that opportunity.
3rd stop was Old Town Nevada, an old Nevada "cowboy town". Most of the shops we under reconstruction. So it wasn't too great ...We did get to have lunch their. Oh and I had my first sasparilla soda....It was really good!
We returned to the hotel to clean up and headed to Caeser's where we had a fabulous dinner at Nero's. We then played a few slots at Caesar's and walked away double what we started with! Back at the Paris we figured since luck was on our side we'd
play on the roulette table for a minute....double what we started with again and called it a night.
What a day...tomorrow I think we'll lay by the pool and enjoy over priced food & drinks!
